The NFL has extended its contract with Tottenham Hotspur to host NFL games until at least 2029, as announced by the English club.

The NFL will continue in London. The premier professional American football league has reached an agreement to extend its contract with Premier League’s Tottenham Hotspur to host at least two games per year until 2029, as announced by the English institution on Thursday.

The agreement signed by both parties in 2015 was originally set to expire next year, so the extension adds another four years. “Our relationship with the NFL has been integral to our vision for the stadium’s global reach and to the development of London as a sports and entertainment destination,” said Daniel Levy, Chairman of the Spurs.

The first NFL game hosted at Tottenham’s stadium took place in 2019, a year later than initially planned due to the construction of the stadium, which was inaugurated in the same year after the old White Hart Lane was demolished. Prior to that, NFL games were played in London at Wembley Stadium.

This year, the Buffalo Bills will host the Jacksonville Jaguars in a matchup between two division champions from last year. The game will take place on October 8th. Additionally, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens will also travel to the home of the ‘Spurs’ to face Derrick Henry and the Tennessee Titans.

There will be another game in England, featuring the Atlanta Falcons against the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, this matchup will take place at Wembley Stadium, the majestic venue that serves as the home ground for the England national team.
