It took more than expected, but Lewandowski’s Poland secured a victory against the Faroe Islands (2-0) this Thursday. It was thanks to two goals from the Barcelona forward himself, which saved his team from a rather compromising situation in terms of the Group E standings.
After losing two of the three previous matches against the Czech Republic and Moldova, Poland faced the Faroe Islands aware that they couldn’t afford to stumble. However, they had to put in a lot of effort to come out on top. With Krychowiak and Zielinski leading the midfield and Milik partnering with Lewandowski in the attack, the Polish team dominated the game from start to finish.
